FREQUENTLY ASKED
QUESTIONS
-
How short should I trim my wick?Keep your wicks between 1/2 and 1/4 inch long. If the flame is 'dancing' too much trim it shorter; if it won't stay lit or burn across the surface completely, leave it a bit longer.
-
How do I trim my wooden wick?Use wick trimmers or scissors to cut your wooden wick! Be sure to keep the wick trimmings out of the candle for safety.
-
Why won't my wooden wick stay lit? When lighting your wooden wick hold the lighter on the wick for about 30 seconds. Even when it seems lit, continue to hold the flame to the wick as that will help the wick heat up which will allow it to burn fully and remain lit until you extinguish it.

I have a mug / jar/ vase / etc from my deceased loved one, can you make a candle with it?Absolutely! Making a candle from a loved one is a great way to remember them. If you bring me the vessel I can assess whether it's safe for candles, then we can discuss fragrance and wick choices so it's perfect for you!

Why can't I smell my candle any longer?Assuming no illness or other ailment that would cause you to lose your ability to smell what you're very likely experiencing is becoming nose blind. Simply put, you got used to the smell of the candle and don't notice it anymore. To combat that, stick to the rule of 3: have 3 different candle fragrances in your home and rotate lighting them. By rotating between the three different scents, you won't get used to a single fragrance as they're always changing between the three. Becoming nose blind is EXTREMELY common; it happens not just to candles but to the smell of ourselves, our vehicles, our clothes, and so much more. If you would like help deciding which three fragrances go well together, let me know! 💙
